this was a plan about 5 months in the making, haha. and originally pa we were supposed to go to a gay bar. but mahirap na not knowing what to expect inside, so we decided to go to a comedy bar instead
we left the hotel at about 10:30 pm since the top entertainers start pa daw at 12 midnight. this was after MJ got a new shirt, anticipating the comedians would make fun of her present-looking shirt. haha.
nung una sa Punchline kami dapat. kaso had a bit of a hard time finding parking, so we went back to Laffline where Chokoleit was featured
entrance fee was Php 250 and when we got there Lassy and a better looking albeit chubbier version of Vice Ganda was on
medyo may pagka-slapstick yung act nila. so medyo hindi siya nag-appeal sakin
after them a Pinoy Pop superstar finalist went up and sang. while she sang well, I think she was more memorable for her how she looked - short dress and all
then came a mataray-looking performer, Donita. she had a bit of a spat with the Pinoy Pop superstar finalist which seemed spotaneous. buti medyo nakasabay naman ang girl
I have to say I was impressed with Donita's skills. very witty and her act in any way did not seem scripted. I think he/she'll make it big one day too.
since we came in a bit late, and the place was quite packed, the front seats were the ones available. as much as we'd rather not stay in front, we didn't really have much of a choice.
ayan tuloy, napansin si Blair and MJ. the details I'll spare in this post. but it was so downright funny the group ended up talking about this non-stop and spent the next day recounting it over and over.
Blair being the proactive guy he was, took the liberty of ordering for us. haha.

finally it's Chokoleit
I actually follow him on twitter and he would usually post quotable quotes. kaya when we were deciding where to go, I wasn't sure he'd still be as 'comedy bar' funny.
siguro iba talaga sya 'pag nasa turf nya. he was sensibly funny which was cool. though madalas magmura at okray kung okray. and he seems to look out for the other lesser known comedians he works with which is great.
over-all, my first comedy bar experience has been great and I look forward to coming back and considering bringing my parents and relatives along naman :)
